efficiency as a cornerstone of Europe’s energy transition, competitiveness, and energy security.

EVALUATION PROCESS

Nominations will be assessed based on three criteria: impact, leadership, and replicability.
The Award will be presented during the Gala Dinner on 14 October 2026.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. Impact

  • Reduced energy consumption or demand
  • Improved system efficiency
  • Long-term structural or behavioural change
  • Strengthened energy independence and resilience
  • Reduced exposure to energy price volatility
  • Enhanced economic competitiveness

2. Leadership

  • Ability to mobilise stakeholders
  • Capacity to build consensus
  • Driving ambitious initiatives across sectors

3. Replicability and Inspiration

  • Potential to scale or replicate the initiative
  • Ability to inspire policymakers, businesses, and citizens
  • Contribution as a model of best practice
