As Europe seeks to strengthen competitiveness, energy security and affordability, demand-side flexibility is becoming an essential pillar of an efficient energy system. This workshop will explore how smart, interoperable buildings can move beyond energy efficiency to become active energy assets — optimizing consumption, integrating renewables and responding dynamically to grid and price signals.

Through real-world examples and policy discussion, participants will examine how open, KNX-enabled solutions can unlock the flexibility potential of Europe’s building stock and support the implementation of current and future EU energy and climate objectives.
